Spring

Sorry it’s been so long friends! We have been extraordinarily busy this Spring but it seems to be winding down a bit both in work and in general, whew! I’m looking forward to more down time including more cooking, blogging, and crafting. Here are a few things we’ve done recently:

I had a girls weekend with my Mom in Austin the last weekend of April. She had to pick up something there so I introduced her to my favorite shops and brunch spots. If you are headed to Austin you must stop by my favorite gift shop, Spartan, and indulge in carrot cake french toast or migas at South Congress Cafe. You should go to Austin just for the food.

We traveled to Searcy for Jake’s brother’s graduation on Mother’s Day weekend. I enjoyed being stuck in the car with Mr. Morse and it was good to see Tyler get his diploma. Two weeks later we attended Tyler’s wedding – it was an eventful May!

And lastly we just got home from a trip to San Diego. We stayed at Hotel Indigo in the Gaslamp Quarter which was a perfect location for walking to restaurants and petco park. We visited the zoo, the beaches in La Jolla, Del Mar, and Coronado as well as Salk Institute. It was so nice to escape the heat and explore San Diego!

  1. Your trip looks like a lot of fun! We only spent a day in San Diego when we were in that area, but I would love to go back.

    • I highly recommend spending a few days there. The Gaslamp area is great and there is a tasty gelato place there!
